Tasmanian Special Children’s Christmas Party at the DEC

Masked Ball (End Polio)

On Friday night we held our Masked Ball at “The Venue” in Salamanca. We had around 50 people enjoy the food, drinks, music and dancing. Tasmania Day – A Day in the Park

Walk with Me – St Giles

Four of our club volunteered to be marshals for the “Walk with Me” awareness and fundraiser event for St Giles this morning.   We received our instructions and our safety vests before the walk started at 11am from the Parliamentary Lawns.  We helped guide the walk around the waterfront and we finished back at the lawns.  [...]

Kingston Fun Run/Walk/Stroll

Soup making for Louis Van

Tonight we made four different pots of soup at Anita’s house for Louis Van. The soup will be frozen and stored at St Vincent de Paul for use on Louis Van. We seemed to have brought just as much nibbles as soup ingredients but that was all part of the fun of the night.

Rotary Youth Driver Awareness program for 2010

Clean up Australia

Paul, Tracy, Warwick, Anita, Jill and Jeremy cleaned up rubbish in the area from under the Bowen Bridge (Eastern Shore side) to the where the road pokes out into the Derwent River. It is only 300 metres but it took the six of us nearly 3 hours to run out of the special rubbish bags. [...]

Help at the Gate for the Briggs Athletics Classic 2010

Several of our club helped with the ticket collection at the Briggs Athletics Classic on Friday 12th February.   We started our roster from 4pm and we finished around 8pm. It was not as busy as the All Schools and Youth Athletics Championships in December last year but it was very busy at times.

Marshalls for the Christmas Pageant yesterday

Five members of the club assisted in the smooth running of the annual Myer Hobart Christmas Pageant by being marshals on Saturday. Light the Night – Leukaemia Foundation

On the 23rd September our club president Paul Sayer and Warwick Pease joined with the Rotaract Club of Sandy Bay (inc. Ryan McConnon, Hannah Vermeulen, Emma Piccoli) to walk with an illuminated balloon from the City Hall around the docks and back again.  There were speakers talking about their experiences with Leukaemia.
