This week’s speaker

Michele McGinity from Greening Australia talked passionately about this apolitical organisation dedicated to restoring Australia’s environment for all Australians.  Greening Australia is the largest environmental organisation in Australia and was formed 26 years ago. Michele spoke about the ways they are trying to reduce carbon pollution by creating resilient ecosystems and forestry techniques. They are also helping farmers to have water and shelter, and have just received funding to build a sustainability leaning centre at Mount Nelson.

Coming up

22nd June: Rebecca Round from the  Post Polio Network - Tasmania will talk on her personal experiences since she contracted polio

29th June: Andy Vagg from the Resource Work Cooperative will talk on recycling and reuse
