Renee Leaves for GSE in Japan

September 25th, 2008 · No Comments · Club projects

The Club has sponsored Renee Grech as a member of our District’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) team to District 2170 (Hiroshima) in Japan.

GSE is a cultural and vocational program of The Rotary Foundation – paired districts send and receive 4 non-Rotarian professionals and one Rotarian Leader for 4-5 weeks to develop professional and leadership skills of the team.

Renee is a lawyer in Hobart and has also studied the Japanese language. This is her first trip to Japan and a great chance to test her language skills.

Professionally, Renee is interested to learn about the Japanese legal system and to challenge her perspectives about the Australia system.

Renee is also very interested to experience Japanese culture and to incorporate cultural awareness in her professional and personal outlook.

You can follow Renee and her team in Japan from 25 September to 27 October at their blog.
